Core Coverages
Core Business Insurance Coverages

As a Green Verifier, you need the core Property & Casualty insurance coverages that are essential elements to any business insurance plan. From a fire or theft affecting your business property to a lawsuit from a customer or other third party, your assets are at risk every day. You've worked hard and invested a lot in your business; make sure it's properly protected.

General Liability

General Liability Insurance protects you against claims by a third party that your actions caused bodily injury and/or property damage to them, resulting in damages that you are legally obligated to pay. In today's litigious society, this insurance protection is a must for any business, and includes:

  • Premises Liability
  • Products and Completed Operations
  • Medical Expenses
  • Advertising/Personal Injury
  • Defense Costs

Business Property

Property insurance covers your physical assets, including buildings, business personal property, computer equipment, furniture and fixtures, inventory and stock, valuable papers and records, and more. Another coverage that may be included under Property insurance is Business Income & Extra Expense, providing for reimbursement of certain kinds of lost income and extra expenses that might result from a covered loss. Included here:

  • Building and Contents
  • Off Premises property coverage, including mobile equipment
  • Business Income and Extra Expense

Package / Business Owners Policies

A Package or Business Owners Policy is designed to put together on one affordable policy both the Property and General Liability coverages that are essential for any business. Based on the specific needs of your business, these policies can be tailored to provide other coverages "cafeteria style" that your business may require.

Business Automobile

It is important for small business owners to know that a Personal Automobile Policy provides protection only for the individual insured person(s) named on the policy. Vehicles involved in an accident while engaged in company business may not be covered by your Personal Auto Policy. A Business Auto Policy will protect the interests and assets of the business shown as the Insured on the policy.

Even if there are no vehicles owned in the business name, if other non-owned or rented vehicles will be used for business purposes, Hired & Non-owned Auto Liability is a must. Business Auto coverage may include:

  • Liability, Medical Payments, Uninsured Motorists
  • Comprehensive and Collision
  • Towing, Rental Reimbursement, and Lease Gap

Workers Compensation and Employers Liability

One of the most important assets of any company is its employees. Whether you have one employee or 100, you'll protect both your valued staff and your business assets by purchasing Workers' Compensation insurance.

Although this policy is generally referred to as "Workers' Compensation," it actually provides two types of coverage:

Workers Compensation insurance provides benefits for compensable employee injury or illness as required by state law, regardless of fault.

Employers Liability coverage is an additional protection for the employer should a lawsuit be brought by an employee, employee's spouse and/or dependants due to employee injury or illness. Various types of situations not contemplated under the Workers' Compensation portion of the policy are covered under the Employer Liability section.

Umbrella Liability

In today's litigious environment, more and more lawsuits are being brought against both large and small businesses. Every day we hear about large settlements being awarded. Whether a lawsuit is legitimate or frivolous, you must still defend yourself against the allegations.

An Umbrella Liability Policy provides protection over and above your basic business liability insurance policies (General Liability, Auto Liability, etc.). Should a devastating loss occur, an Umbrella Liability policy could make the difference between keeping your business open or closing down.
