Look to Us for Your Workers’ Comp Solutions
One of the most important assets of any company is its employees. Whether you have one employee or 100, you’ll protect both your valued staff and your business assets with Workers’ Compensation insurance.
Workers’ Compensation insurance was established to serve the interests of both the employer and employee regarding work-related injury or illness. The employee relinquishes his or her right to sue the employer if he or she suffers such an injury, and, in return, the employer agrees to provide state-mandated benefits for the injured employee.
Inside the Coverage
Although this policy is generally referred to as “Workers’ Compensation,” it actually provides two types of coverage:
- Workers’ Compensation insurance provides benefits for compensable employee injury or illness as required by state law, regardless of fault.
- Employers’ Liability coverage is additional protection for the employer should a lawsuit be brought by an employee, employee’s spouse and/or dependents due to employee injury or illness. Various types of situations not contemplated under the Workers’ Compensation portion of the policy are covered under the Employer Liability section.
Workers’ Compensation laws and benefits are state-mandated and vary widely by state. For details on coverage in your state, please call Moody.
This description of coverage is not an insurance contract. Your policy is the contract that specifies and fully describes your coverage. Conditions and exclusions will apply. Not all coverage described is available in all states.
